Michael was a valuable translator during my trip to Shanghai. Not only did he help me with setting up meetings with me, he was invaluable when it came to the personal help that he gave, especially teaching and advising me on Chinese culture and life. I would not have had a successful trip if Michael was not there assisting. He was very courteous, patient, and went out of his way to ensure that the tasks were completed on time and properly. His English was by far the best I've heard from any native I've met in China, and clearly his intellect is present when coming with me to meetings. To anybody considering Min Min,
I can't say enough good things about Min Min. I run a small business in the United States and this past Januray (2010) was my first time visiting China. Myself and two other people were traveling there with the goal of creating a new product. Needless to say there was a lot to learn and do before we got there. Min Min researched factories that might be able to manufacture our product. She contacted them prior to us arriving, weeded out the bad ones and set up meetings with the legitimate ones. She coordinated EVERYTHING for us. I don't know if you quite understand how big of a relief that is. She had train tickets waiting for us, drivers reserved for the days we had to travel where trains did not and the local knowledge to take a taxi when nothing more was needed. We really had to worry about absolutely nothing except for talking with the factories once we were there.
When it came to the translating during the meetings she was perfect. She understood everything we were saying. She even got our sarcasm which is a true sign that she understands English very well. We never had to talk slow or repeat ourselves. It was like talking with a co-worker from the United States. She paid attention and after the 2nd or 3rd factory she knew exactly what we wanted. So from then on we'd all walk in and Min Min would just start talking on behalf of our company. She caught on very quickly to all the little things we were looking for. She certainly has dealt with tough businessmen before and had no problem handing herself.
I could truly write another 5 paragraphs about how great of an experience we had with her. Point is our product is being made as I type this. She is honest, on time, a hard worker and fun to be around. One experience best sums up Min Min: During one of our factory visits we were talking with a "middle man" regarding manufacturing our products. The moment we left the factory the middle man called Min Min and told her that if she could get us to do business with him he'd give her a percentage of the profits. Obviously we are all aware this stuff happens. BUT the point is Min Min immediately made us aware of the situation without ever thinking twice about taking the deal. She was appaled that the guy would even think she'd do something like that to her clients. And she could have made a lot of money off that deal.

We had a great time with Leigh, she speaks good English and she has a sense of humor which suited us well. Even if I actually know Shanghai and specially the French Concession very well, she could show and fill me in with details I did not know from before. She has a very good knowledge of history which makes her an interesting companion. We really enjoyed her company and will not hesitate to recommend her to anybody.

We really appreciated Sam’s energy and sense of humor (“I am not your guide today…I am your guard so keep you safe all day!” Ha ha – he kept us laughing a lot all day!). He really kept us on schedule and made sure that we did not stray. Our trip would not have been as memorable without him. We loved the fact that he also spoke perfect English!
I must also add that our driver was also an excellent driver with our safety and getting us to the various sites as his job!

produced for the four days, your friendliness and knowledge of the English language (it was so
easy to converse with you in English). I really had fun on this tour and enjoyed every moment of it
especially the rides on the motor bike taxi's!. It was obvious to me that you knew Shanghai and its
history very well. As I had just spent four weeks in Seville Spain doing an intensive training course
it was great to come to Shanghai and just enjoy all the sights and museums of Shanghai knowing
that you were always at my side to help me and answer any questions that I might have. I
enjoyed the local restaurants that you took me to and your willingness to discuss any issues such
as history, politics, etc. If I return to Shanghai or any of the surrounding cities, I would certainly
use your services again.
